In this episode I interview Caytie Frampton. Caytie recently went through some big health issues that created difficult physical and emotional challenges. Caytie shares her story along with the tools she is using on her healing journey. I loved talking with Caytie. We have so much in common. I could have talked with her all day.
Caytie grew up in Salt Lake as 9th of 11 children. She is 49 years old and wife her hubby of 25 years. She lives in Farmington, Utah and has 3 amazing miracle children (ages 22, 14, 8), 2 dogs, 2 Guinea pigs, and 4 fish. She is a professional hand letterer, a teacher of an online religion class, and a health coach.
She love to paint, study the scriptures, travel, scrapbook, and hang out with her people. She is a child of God, a patriot, a home body, an introvert, an enneagram 6 wing 5, blue/white, ISTJ-A (logistician), and a student of health and truth.
She hates running, camping, shopping, decorating for holidays, throwing birthday parties (or any party), grocery shopping, meal planning, meditating, sitting at a pool or a beach all day, working out and sweating.
She is working on becoming the best and healthiest version of herself and creating her best life with and for her favorite people.
She loves sharing what she's learned with others in hopes of helping them become the best versions of themselves. Imagine a world where everyone is their best self!!

In an effort to correct a problem we sometimes overcorrect causing a bigger problem. Like overcorrecting to miss a deer on the road. In the case of mental health, there has been an overcorrection as to what good mental health actually is. in this episode I share what good mental health actually is and the ways that many people are overcorrecting in an effort to have what they wrongly believe is good mental health.

One of the best ways to put ourselves in the drivers seat is to recognize that it is not the circumstances in our life that create our emotions, but our thoughts about that circumstance. It is also worth taking the time to notice what circumstances you can't change and which ones you can. "Stuck" is a choice you just have to take some time to notice what choice you are making to choose stuck. In this episode I define circumstance and give examples of ways to be more conscious of the circumstances you are choosing.

Mental health can be compared to the weather. Sometimes we have beautiful, sunny, blue skies. Other times there are storm clouds overhead and they stick around for awhile. Today on the podcast I share my storm cloud emergency toolkit.
These are the things that I do when I am in my low moods. This works great for me when I am feeling sad and low, however during really depressive states bigger steps and interventions need to be taken.
I encourage you to come up with your own stormy weather toolkit.

Is it possible to love others more than you love yourself? Spoiler alert, it isn't. Our ability to love other is directly connected to how much we love ourselves. In this episode I talk about why this is true and the give my own Self-love Manifesto as a template to create your own manifesto. Self-love is one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves and our loved ones.
